My client based near Chard requires an ICT Manager to take charge of the day-to-day management of all ICT functions by performing the following duties personally or through third parties:
§ Proactive day-to-day management of the IT and Telecommunications function throughout the business
§ Contributing to the development of future ICT strategy throughout the company to provide cost effectiveness and competitive edge to the organisation
§ Achievement of ICT departments' performance monitors
§ Training and development of staff in day-to-day ICT skills throughout the company
§ Support to remote users
§ Ensuring the security of all systems and reviewing as appropriate
§ Procurement of IT and Telecommunications equipment within budgetary constraints
§ Creating and controlling your departmental budget
§ Proactive project management of the implementation of new systems and solutions
§ Management of third party service providers and sub-contractors
§ Establishing fully documented industry leading procedures and working practices within your departments
§ Developing an effective working relationship with other managers and staff within the organisation
§ Implementing changes to structure & organisation of your departments to ensure optimum performance
§ Ensuring that industry leading customer satisfaction is at all times the top priority in your departments
§ Carrying out any reasonable request from the Finance Director
The successful candidate will essentially have the following:
- Good understanding of SQL Server 2005 administration and maintenance
- Experience with Exchange Server 2007 & clients
- Advanced knowledge of Windows Server 2003 Active directory & group policies
- Helpdesk management experience
- Good report creation/writing skills
- Server administration and networks, LAN infrastructure (TCP/IP)
- Software troubleshooting abilities
- Resolves and/or escalates issues in a timely fashion
- Experience of supporting a CRM or ERP application
Salary negotiable to £30,000 per annum.
